Neighboring has always been an intentional lifestyle for me, especially since my husband, Jake and I settled in our home in Littleton, CO back in 2013.
But ever since becoming a mama to Amos & Gal, now 2 1/2, the way we’ve gone about neighboring has shifted. In the months after the kids were born our attempts at hospitality and community froze.
And while that transition should be expected for families in the throws of infant life, it doesn’t have to be final.
Neighboring is a family endeavor, with ups and downs, goof ups and big wins. And it’s not just a priority, it’s a way of life—one that gets easier the more it’s incorporated into the everyday.
Our job as neighbors is something we take and write about with great responsibility. Littlest Neighbor was born out of a desire to share our ideas, strategies that work, and our heart behind why we do what we do.
It’s an adventure, a calling, if you will.
